Structural Engineer

Due to an expanding workload, we are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary teams in Newark and Leeds.  A flexible balance of office/home working is available.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be working as a key member of our structural engineering team, working on a wide variety of interesting building projects nationwide for private and public sector clients.

• Working in a variety of sectors, e.g. education, commercial, industrial, residential, leisure, energy, retail and heritage on projects typically up to £10m in value
• Working alongside other structural engineers and technicians and taking a lead role in delivering the structural engineering design package

What we’re looking for:

• Degree in civil or structural engineering
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with ICE or IStructE (or close to qualification)
• Minimum 6 years of post-graduation experience
• Self-motivated and take ownership of work, able to work under pressure on numerous projects at any one time and manage workload to meet deadlines,
• Proficient in structural design of buildings using common construction materials
• Some experience of structural inspections
• Ability to use modern 3D analysis & design software
• AutoCAD literate (Revit experience beneficial but not essential)
• A good team player with strong communication skills
