Structural Engineering Technician

Due to an expanding workload, we are looking for a Structural Engineering Technician to join our multi-disciplinary team in Newark.  A flexible balance of office/home working is available.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be working as a member of our structural engineering team, working on a wide variety of interesting building projects nationwide for private and public sector clients.

• Working in a variety of sectors, e.g. education, commercial, industrial, residential, leisure, energy, retail and heritage on projects, typically up to £10m in value
• Producing structural engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Revit and CADS-RC
• Working alongside other structural technicians and engineers and taking a lead role in producing the drawings required to deliver the structural engineering design package

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified with HNC/HND in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of experience working for a structural engineering consultancy
• Experienced in use of AutoCAD and Revit to produce structural engineering drawings
• Experienced in detailing in all common structural materials
• Able to work as part of a team of structural engineers and technicians with minimal supervision
• Self-motivated and take ownership of work, able to work under pressure on numerous projects at any one time and manage workload to meet deadlines
• A good team player with strong communication skills
