Affordable Housing for Sheffield

Working with Turner & Townsend, William Saunders are pleased to be providing civil and structural engineering design services on the new Sheffield City Council housing development in Birley, Sheffield, which has recently received planning permission.  The 77 new high quality homes will comprise a mixture of 2-4 bedroom houses and 1-2 bedroom apartments, which required significant engineering design input to deal with the heavily sloping site, minimise the cost of earthworks and maintain shallow surface gradients to serve the properties and the surrounding landscape.
