The scheme involved:

The widening of the existing B6040 to provide a priority right turn lane, a new junction, highway embankment realignment, drainage, street lighting, signage, utility diversions and Traffic Regulation Orders.

Improvement and realignment works to the existing B6040/B6079 roundabout junction, highway embankment realignment, drainage, street lighting, signage, utility diversions and Traffic Regulation Orders.

Improvement and realignment works to the existing B6040/B6041 signalised junction, highway embankment realignment, drainage, street lighting, signage, utility diversions and Traffic Regulation Orders.

William Saunders were appointed to undertake initial feasibility design, traffic assessment, detailed design of the works, manage the procurement under an ICE Conditions of Contract, administer the Contract, CDM and Resident Engineer services.
