Exchange Court, Corby

This 18,000 sq. ft. speculative office development is located on the former railway station site in Corby and was developed with flexibility in mind to suit a broad range of prospective occupiers.

The £1.95m scheme is considered an important part of the regeneration of Corby and was key to attracting new businesses into the town centre as well as providing first class office accommodation for existing companies in the Corby area.

The three, two storey units were all occupied immediately upon completion by local companies and created in the region of 80 jobs.

An interesting aspect of this development was the need to liaise closely with Network Rail throughout all stages of the project. This was to ensure both the construction phase and completed development did not adversely affect the ‘live’ railway line.

In addition, the development achieved a BREEAM ‘very good’ rating under theBRE’s environmental assessment criteria.

The scheme was procured under a Design & Build Contract with William Saunders being appointed by Priority Sites as concept Architect, Employer’s Agent, Quantity Surveyor and Clerk of Works.
