Festival Park Ebbw Vale
This factory shopping complex is built on the Ebbw Vale Garden Festival Park Site, and is made up of over 50 retail units, visitor centre, education centre, restaurant, adventure play areas plus park leisure facilities.
The architectural design of the retail units and other facilities combine traditional materials such as Pennant sandstone with contemporary high tech fabric, tensile structures for canopies. The steel framed glazed covered ways give the shopping malls an airy light ambience.
‘Pop out’ shop fronts help to modulate and add interest to the shop facades. The visitor and education centres are clad in Pennant sandstone and Western Red Cedar.
The development provides a combined leisure/retail/education experience for the local and regional population.
