The former River Island unit, which closed in 2021, has been transformed into a new Flannels store, with a retail area of circa 13,845sq ft over two floors.

The store sits within the Old Market Square Conservation Area in Nottingham and required extensive discussions with the Local Authority for the proposed façade works.

Phase 1 initial refit works started back in 2021, with a Phase 2 in 2023 encompassing new proposals to bring the project inline with the latest design concepts.

Vertical circulation routes were retained, albeit with full replacement finishes to bring these into line with the high end specifications used throughout the store.

The scheme included high level finishes in the usual Flannels DNA including marble, high end ceramics and carpet floor finishes.

The store provides an engaging shopping destination, with the biggest brands in luxury fashion and contemporary streetwear all under one roof.
