Lexington Place Nottingham
This project for 61 apartments in the heart of Nottingham’s Lace Market conservation area occupies a prominent position facing the National Ice Stadium.
The building accommodates a mixture of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments in 2 distinct blocks within the tight urban setting of the old lace mills.
One of the blocks retains the old façade of a lace mill which has been fully renovated and cleaned. The other block facing the Ice Stadium is a modern interpretation of the tall facades of the old buildings but meets the Client requirements for modern apartments with lots of daylight penetration.
The rooftop penthouse apartments incorporate set-backs to provide terraces and a prominent prow which gives the building a distinctive and recognisable profile.
The project was carried out as a Design and Build Contract for Bellway Homes.
