Morlands Enterprise Park Glastonbury

This Priority Sites development was undertaken on a brownfield site on the outskirts of Glastonbury which had been reclaimed by SWRDA following it’s historic use as a tannery.

In order to secure the public funding available, the scheme was developed to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating and so it was designed with sustainability in mind.

The development consisted of approximately 13,000 square feet of high quality business units incorporating a selection of workshops and hybrid units.

This was the first plot to be developed on the former tannery site and the landowner was keen to ensure it set the standard to which developers should aspire. Many workshops were therefore held with the various stakeholders and planners in order to agree a suitable palette of materials to take forward.

William Saunders was appointed as Employers Agent and Quantity Surveyor to manage the scheme on behalf of the Client.
