Nell Bank

We have recently been working with the Nell Bank Trust in Ilkley to create a tree house which is much more than your average, simple structure!

Nell Bank is an Outdoor Education Centre in Ilkley, offering a valuable resource for people of all abilities particularly those with learning and physical disabilities as well as the deprived and vulnerable.

The new adventure play facility replaces an existing trail and is a fully accessible route which gradually climbs up to a ‘lookout’ (the Tree House) on a hillside allowing commanding views over the surrounding countryside and wooded hillside.

The tree house was built for a frugal sum as a result of careful design by the team of architects, engineers and the contractor B&H Construction of Newark all working together to achieve a lot for a very little!

The Centre Manager said “for many years to come thousands of youngsters will have reason to thank the team at William Saunders for interpreting and delivering our vision for the project and supporting the build despite many challenges”.

We are proud to have supported the Trust in providing this valuable facility.
