The Building Innovation Awards & Structural Timber Awards

Our Reworks Building has been short listed for The Building Innovation Awards under 4 categories:

• Best Modular Innovation.
• Best Use of Timber on a Construction Project.
• Most Sustainable Construction Project.
• Most Innovative New Product.

It’s been a great project and wonderful to see it being shortlisted for this award as well as the Structural Timber Awards.  Both Awards ceremonies will be next month, and we are looking forward to attending to celebrate ours and all the other fantastic projects shortlisted.

This project exemplifies sustainable construction; Using local labour/manufacturing and suppliers, with the structural shell being sourced from FSC-certified forests in the UK and NI.

No steel was used – the building is constructed in timber from external cladding, to structural insulated shell, to timber sheet internal wall finish.

At the forefront of modern design and build practices using advanced manufacturing of our digital modelling (MMC) through to removing large carbon generating machinery on site by traditional methods of manually building the structural frame.

We are proud to have worked alongside BlokBuild, who have been pivotal in achieving the Client’s sustainable vision, using their innovative timber structural system, that enabled us to meet the complex constraints that ultimately supported a low carbon build.
